School Selection and Local Food Production in Ghana’s School Feeding Programme

چکیده

School feeding programmes have been touted to improve school enrolment and physical development of children in poorer communities, but discussions on selection criteria linkages local food production very minimal. This article discusses under Ghana’s programme. Findings show that has problematic, motivated largely by political patronage financial gain, not the stated poverty low enrolment. Local farmers registered some districts supply caterers, thereby helping production. The argues ought be designed ensure it reaches those who actually need involve actors ways promote mutual benefits.
